Two standard solutions for presbyopia are bifocal and multifocal lenses. This guide will explore the advantages and disadvantages of each option to help you determine the most suitable choice for your visual needs.

Have you ever noticed that some people start pulling down their glasses in order to read? Or have to stretch their arms out super long. This is called presbyopia, it is when the eyes gradually lose the ability to see things clearly up close, this is a normal part of ageing. When we are younger the lens inside our eye is able to focus on things up-close and far away because it is flexible and soft but as we age the lens inside our eye becomes harder and less flexible which makes it harder to focus on things that are up close.

Rubbing your glasses with a dry microfiber cloth can actually damage your lenses when you clean your glasses with a dry cloth, this redistributes grease and rubs microscopic debris that can actually damage your lenses. This is why it is important to make sure that you are cleaning your glasses the right way at all times in order to avoid damaging your lenses and save them from getting scratched and in order to make sure that your glasses last you a long time to save you money in the longer run. Instead of rubbing your glasses with a dry cloth, you can begin to clean your glasses by running your glasses under lukewarm water for around 15 seconds, this helps to displace and dislodge excess grime.

Choosing the right pair of frames for your glasses can be difficult, especially if it is your first time or if you are switching out your frame after using your previous pair for a while as it can take some time to adjust to the look of new frames. Though it is particularly important to make sure that you pick out the perfect pair of frames to ensure that you look your best, and feel the most comfortable in your glasses. Ideally, the width of your frames should be as wide as the widest point of your face below the brow line, and the arms should not make contact with the skin until just before the ear to ensure ultimate comfort. If your frames are too wide they will slip down your nose and will also decentre the eyes which can have an impact on your vision. If your frames are too narrow, the arms will splay outwards and make contact with the side of the head which will cause pressure and thus your glasses will slip down your face.

Firstly, it is virtual that you determine if you have a round face in order to pick out the best glasses for yourself. Start by taking a tape measurer or a flexible ruler and begin to measure the distance between the centre of your hairline to the pointiest point of your chin. The reason for your glasses slipping down your nose can vary, it can be caused because of natural oils that your nose produces thus making it a slippery area which makes your glasses slip down your nose. The area of the nose that touches the nose pad gets the most oil so it is healthy to use oil-free cleansing on your face. If you have dry skin this may not be an option for you as you will need oil cleansing face wash to balance out the dry skin that is on your face so you should take this into consideration. Another option also is to use oil blotches, these are very thin face tissues that soak up the excess oil that is on your skin, you can use these tissues during the day to blot out the excess oil from your face, so if using an oil cleansing face wash isn't an option for you then you should opt for the oil batches.

Aussie banknotes that have reached the end of their useful life as currency, and RBA production waste materials are processed and then made into the classic Dresden shape, (by us) in Sydney, Australia.
