Frequently Asked Questions

Are monthly contact lenses 30 days or 30 wears?

Once the box has been opened, monthly contact lenses can be used for a total of 30 days. Compared to daily contact lenses, monthly lenses are thicker and more durable. It is crucial to avoid using your monthly contact lenses for more than 30 days since they can accumulate dust and protein that is hazardous to your eyes and can only be stored and used for up to 30 days after the opening of the package. This does not mean that you can use your monthly contact lenses for a total of 30 days, instead, you should only use them for up to 30 days once you have opened the packaging.

Can you sleep in monthly contact lenses?

Because contact lenses move when you blink while you are awake this allows your eyes to obtain oxygen, you should always remove them and never sleep with your contacts in your eyes. If you go to sleep with contact lenses, your eyes won't get the necessary amount of oxygen, putting you at risk for eye infections, scarring, and even vision loss. You should take additional care to ensure that you are taking out your monthly contact lenses if you are going to bed since it is never acceptable to fall asleep wearing your contacts.

How to clean monthly contact lenses

Make sure you have a clean contact lens case and clean, dry hands before you begin cleaning your monthly contacts. You should begin by washing your contact lens case with warm water and a tiny quantity of antibacterial soap (make sure the detergent is fragrance- and lotion-free). Be sure to rinse the case completely underwater to ensure that all of the soap has been washed off of it. In order to avoid dirt from getting on the lens cover, let your case air dry. After it is clean and dry, start washing your hands. It is crucial to wash your hands with moisturiser and fragrance-free soap before removing your contact lenses in order to avoid transferring dirt and bacteria from your hands to your lenses. After washing your hands, be sure to completely dry them with a paper towel. After your hands are clean and your contact lens case is totally dry, you may start removing your contact lens from your eye using whichever technique seems most comfortable to you. Carefully remove one of your lenses and lay it in the palm of your hand, being careful not to extend your hand's palm. You should leave enough room in your palm so that you may form a tiny puddle of solution. Rub each side of your contact lens for around 15 seconds after adding your multipurpose solution to the palm of your hand containing the lens. To avoid damaging your lens or tearing it, try to be as careful as possible. Once your monthly contact lens has been thoroughly cleaned, insert it gently into your contact lens case that you have prefilled with the solution. Make sure your lens is completely immersed in the case; if it is floating at the top or sticking to the sides, it may rip the lid.
