I graduated with honours from the University of Wales in 1986, and have been a member of the College of Optometrists since 1988. I’m therapeutically registered in the treatment of anterior eye conditions and glaucoma, and my optometry career has taken me to Europe, Africa and now Australia. As a clinic supervisor at UNSW I specialise in low vision rehabilitation and Aboriginal eyecare.
 



I am the inventor of WolfChart, an open source eyechart that works in an internet browser. All of our Dresden practices use it, plus it is in use by community orthoptists, researchers at the George Institute, and even in a Hebrew version in Israel. 
 



Community involvement is important to me and so is sustainability – so Dresden is a great fit. As a home brewer, I love wearing frames that are made from recycled beer keg caps!

I love being part of the Dresden community and am very passionate about their sustainable approach to custom eyewear.I believe that vision care is of vital importance to every person’s future and that looking after our eyes and managing any optical issues are protective of general function, independence and quality of life overall.

I graduated from University of NSW with Honours in 1991. I have worked in a variety of both private and corporate practices across NSW over the years and I remain very passionate about my work as an Optometrist in all aspects of Optometric Care. I strive to provide the best possible Eyecare and Visual solutions for everyone, irrespective of their age. 




My main areas of interest are Pathology, Children's vision and Contact lenses. Pathology would include areas such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular and peripheral retinal diseases and cataracts. 




I really enjoy working with an innovative company like Dresden as I am inspired by their sustainable, innovative approach to glasses and lenses and the fact that unlike any other practice in the Sydney metro region, we can manufacture glasses for patients on the same day or on the spot (pending on their prescription).

I’m a Rozelle local, and a strong advocate of providing personalised, holistic eye care. 




I graduated from the University of New South Wales with Honours in 2001, and have since worked in various Independent and Corporate Optometry practices across Australia. Working with an innovative company such as Dresden is fantastic, and I am inspired by Dresden’s community minded, sustainable and ethical culture. My postgraduate studies focused on children’s vision and their visual function, but I am also passionate about eye health and the early detection of eye diseases like glaucoma, diabetes and macular degeneration.

Dr. Rajwinder Saggu grew up in Oakville, Ontario and attended McMaster University in Hamilton, where she received her Bachelors of Life Sciences degree with Honours. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 




During her Optometry training, Dr. Saggu resided on the Beta Sigma Kappa Honour’s society for all four years of her schooling. She has received extensive training in ocular disease, and contact lenses through externship programs with The Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, and Envision Eye Care In Ft. Lauderdale. Dr. Saggu is certified to prescribe both oral and topical medications. 




Dr. Saggu is an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Saggu enjoys reading books, traveling, cooking different cuisines and watching basketball.

I believe in giving all my patients the time it takes during their appointments with me to address&nbsp;all&nbsp;their questions. 




I don’t believe in selling in the exam room. By removing all potential financial conflicts of interest, I can objectively focus on my patients' best interests. I don't sell glasses, I don't sell supplements, and I offer all required additional testing such as retinal imaging at no extra charge. 
 




I believe in education. Bring on your questions and I’ll break down the concepts behind them to build up your understanding of even the most complicated eye/optics related subjects.

I graduated from University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2018. While in school I had the opportunity to work in Waterloo, Calgary, and Pinellas Park, Florida, as well as volunteer in Chisinau, Moldova with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. 




I’m thrilled to be back in the city I was raised in and I’m excited to bring my skillset and passion for eyes to the Dresden family. I have a special interest in contact lenses and dry eye management. My goal is every patient who sits in my chair not only receives exceptional care, but also leaves their exam a little more knowledgeable.

Melissa Le

I’m a therapeutically-registered optometrist licensed to treat eye disease such as glaucoma and I’ve practised in both England and Canada. My philosophy is all about education and prevention, and I like to make the eye “exam” an enjoyable and informative experience. I believe that your appointment should be an open dialogue between doctor and patient without any barriers. I hold a special interest in dry eye management and I see myself as a preserver of eye health before anything else.

Andrew Attardo

Graduating from the University of Toronto and the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Pelia is currently licensed with the College of Optometrists of Ontario and an active member of the Optometry Association of Ontario. 




Dr. Pelia is familiarized with a wide range of optometric specialities from contact lenses, glaucoma management, binocular vision training and pediatric care. However, her focus and passion throughout school was heavily ocular disease focused. Dr. Pelia has done her rotations through some of America's most prestigious hospitals including Boston Medical Center and the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo New York and is keen to bring her experiences and strong knowledge base back to her patients in Ontario. 




The most important thing for Dr. Pelia during your eye exam is that you walk away with a clear understanding of your eye health. She gives each patient their due time in the exam chair and encourages questions about your ocular health at each step of the exam. 




Dr. Pelia is actively learning French but can conduct an eye exam in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Spanish at this time!

Dr. Victoria Hoy graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017 and Doctor of Optometry in 2021. She was born and raised in Toronto and is happy to be back working in her hometown. In her spare time, Dr. Hoy enjoys trying out new recipes and likes to experiment with various noodle dishes!
