Melody Ong

Optometrist — BOptom

I am a therapeutically registered Optometrist who has recently graduated from the University of Auckland. As part of my training I have visited different parts of the North Island, namely Hamilton and Whakatane to be mentored by Senior Optometrists in the field. I am very excited to bring my skill-set and passion for Optometry to Dresden. My current areas of interest lie mainly in primary based eye care. To date, I have been involved in many voluntary screening initiatives at primary schools and more notably at the Special Olympics in Wellington 2017.

Frances Ramsay

Optometrist — BOptom

I’m an optometrist with over 20 years experience. I graduated here in New Zealand and then after working in Wellington, I lived and worked in England for 15 years. I then felt the pull to return to my beautiful home country of NZ. I love my job, working with all sorts of different people, problem solving, providing great health checks and I enjoy fitting contact lenses and testing children’s eyes. In England, I was chair on several eye health committees, working to provide access to quality vision care for everybody and ensuring that optometrist were using our huge wealth of clinical knowledge to benefit the public and whole healthcare system. Away from optometry, I am happily married with 2 great children and I play the violin and enjoy outdoor activities like camping.
