Simon Lan
BVSc MOptom CASA Credentialed Optometrist

Simon is an Optometrist who graduated with the first cohort of the Masters of Optometry program

He has enjoyed being a community minded health practitioner working with local businesses his entire career. This has allowed him to develop skills in treatment of eye disease and fitting contact lenses, and to get to know local health professionals.

He has spent time in both regional and metropolitan Queensland, and continues to be involved with QUT School of Optometry as a clinician. Simon is a current Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia Queensland Chapter committee member. He enjoys hiking outdoors and watching sitcoms, but not at the same time.

Eddie Burgin
Eddie Burgin
Bachelor of Vision Science/Masters of Optometry

G'day! I graduated from the Queensland University of Technology, class of 2015. Since then, I've worked for a number of different organisations, including:

Australian College of Optometry, where I completed my post-graduate experiences, doing post-graduate certificates in glaucoma and contact lenses.

The Brien Holden Vision Institute, doing work in rural Indigenous communities. Specsavers at Brookside, QLD

And also doing clinical teaching and supervising, since 2018, back at the Queensland University of Technology.

Currently I am still in a teaching role at QUT, and love working at Dresden three days a week. My interests outside of work include latin dancing, football (the round ball version ;)) and surfing with my Dad and little brother. I consider myself a good listener and I always work to do a thorough eye exam for my patients/clients.

If you're in town, we bulk bill Health Care Card holders and Pension Card holders, and our front staff are lovely, so come in for an eye exam!
