Job Summary

Dresden Vision, an Australian D2C retailer and e-commerce company, is on an ambitious path of growth over the next four years. Our goal is to make glasses simple, affordable, fun, sustainable and environmentally conscious. We are seeking a Product Manager to support the Chief Operating Officer with the management of our retail product suite that include eyewear, accessories, optometry other peripheral goods and services.

What you'll do

Managing existing products

  • Liaise with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of our existing products (prescription glasses, frames, contact lenses, sunglasses, cases etc.) to customers
  • Work with stores to receive feedback on existing products
  • Prepare reports, profitability analysis, project plans and business cases
  • Prepare and update product guides for existing products
  • Prepare and update guidelines for stores
  • Work with the digital product team to define and manage promotional activities of the product portfolio
  • Understanding of the import/export processes and how they apply to profitability and operational processes
  • Assist the digital product team in developing new systems and processes for product delivery
  • Manage store layout and physical placement of goods to ensure the best customer and employee experience

Developing new products

  • Understand different customer needs and apply these to new product development process, making recommendations about new products to launch
  • Understand different materials available in the market and their impact to environment with a view to bring environmentally sustainable products to market
  • Act as an internal champion for the use of sustainable materials and processes in every aspect of our business
  • Prepare business cases and prioritise new product development requests
  • Manage the design of new products
  • Manage the design of product packaging
  • Conduct negotiations and manage relationships with suppliers
  • Complete product documentation that includes product information, store processes and ensure delivery of any external marketing materials prior to launches
  • Commercialise new products by providing training, collateral and working with the digital product team to establish processes for our staff

Experience you'll need

We'd prefer if you have experience managing a consumer goods product.
