Individualized patient care and patient education are central to my practice. I believe that effective listening and communication are integral to providing high-quality patient care. I enjoy getting to know my patients and I look forward to building long-term relationships with them and their families.

 I am certified to practice in Canada as well as the United Kingdom, and I am licensed to fit contact lenses and prescribe therapeutics to treat various eye conditions. My special interests include dry eye management and binocular vision problems.

Dr. Jana Parameswaran

I completed my optometry training in 2018 at the University of Waterloo, and I’m excited to be able to bring my skill set and my passion for eyes to the Dresden team. My goal is that every patient that sits in my chair not only receives exceptional care, but leaves their exam a little more knowledgeable.  I am fluent in English and conversationally fluent in Vietnamese and I hope to see you soon! 

Dr. Melissa Le

Dr. Saggu grew up in Oakville and attended McMaster University in Hamilton, where she received her BSc. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Saggu resided on the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor’s society for all four years of her schooling. She has received extensive training in ocular disease, and contact lenses through externship programs with The Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, and Envision Eye Care In Ft. Lauderdale.

Dr. Raj Saggu

I have been an optometrist since 2012, serving various locations in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). My approach to eye exams is centered around dedicating ample time to each patient, ensuring that I address all their questions and concerns. In the exam room, I prioritize the patient's best interests by eliminating any potential financial conflicts of interest, such as selling glasses, supplements, or withholding pricing information for additional tests.

 My practice caters to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and languages. I am committed to providing comprehensive eye exams to patients, even if we do not share the same language. Currently, I am fluent in English, proficient in French, and actively learning American Sign Language.

 By fostering an environment free from sales pressure and maintaining transparent communication, I strive to deliver exceptional eye care that is centered around my patients' needs and well-being.

Dr. Victoria Hoy graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017 and Doctor of Optometry in 2021. She was born and raised in Toronto and is happy to be back working in her hometown. In her spare time, Dr. Hoy enjoys trying out new recipes and likes to experiment with various noodle dishes!

Comprehensive Eye Exam (Riverside Location)

In an eye exam with us, your eye doctor will create a detailed account of your eyes' past and present problems and note the most pressing concerns you have about your eyes and your vision. Your eye doctor will then perform a series of measurements and tests in order to ascertain your eyeglass prescription as well as to address any health issues affecting your eyes. All results and findings will be explained and your eye doctor will be happy to answer any questions you may have.Your eye doctor will also determine if your current contact lens brand, strength, comfort of wear, and wear schedule needs any modifications based on your most recent results. If any changes are recommended, sample contact lenses may be ordered for you to test and approve before your final contact lens prescription is issued. This may require one or more follow up appointments - all at no additional cost.

Comprehensive Eye Exam For Contact Lenses Wearers

In a comprehensive eye exam, your eye doctor will create a detailed account of your eyes' past and present problems and note the most pressing concerns you have about your eyes and your vision. Your eye doctor will then perform a series of of measurements and tests in order to ascertain your eyeglass prescription as well as to address any health issues affecting your eyes.&nbsp;

OHIP Covered - Senior Eye Exam  (65 years and over)

In an OHIP-covered eye exam for seniors, your eye doctor will create a detailed account of your eyes' past and present problems and note the most pressing concerns you have about your eyes and your vision. Your eye doctor will then perform a series of measurements and tests in order to ascertain your eyeglass prescription as well as to address any health issues affecting your eyes. All results and findings will be explained and your eye doctor will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

In an OHIP-covered eye exam for children, your eye doctor will create a detailed account of any past and present issues about your child's vision. Information relevant to any suspected problems will be collected, and your eye doctor will then perform a series of measurements and tests in order to ascertain what treatment may be best for your child. All results and findings will be explained and your eye doctor will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

OHIP Covered - Youth Eye Exam (19 years and under)

During a contact lens re-fitting, your eye doctor will collect information about the contact lenses you currently wear, such as what brand you use, how often you wear contact lenses, how comfortable you feel in your contact lenses, etc.&nbsp; Combined with the information from your valid eyeglasses prescription, your eye doctor will make a determination regarding what brands of contact lenses would be most suitable for you. These brands will be ordered in your prescription for you to trial. The end result will be a prescription for the contact lenses that work best for you and your lifestyle.

Contact Lens Re-Fitting with Valid Rx

Starting your journey into contact lenses requires you to first have your eyeglasses prescription measured. If you haven't already, please book a Complete Eye Exam.If you have decided to start wearing contact lenses, you will have to learn a few things first. <ul><li>You and your optometrist will decide what type and style of contact lenses are best for you.</li><li>You will learn techniques to safely insert and remove contact lenses.</li><li>You will learn what to expect with contact lenses and how the vision may differ from glasses.</li><li>You will learn how to care for your contact lenses to prevent any possible contact lens related eye issues.&nbsp;</li></ul> After your initial visit, you will be given contact lenses to take home and trial for a period of time before you attend a follow up appointment. A first time wearer's journey into contact lenses involves two follow up appointments on average. Any necessary follow up appointments are free of charge.&nbsp;
