Andrew, a trans-Tasman Dresden lover, used to wear previous pairs of glasses long after he stopped liking them because they cost so much. That's no longer a problem.
Auckland, New Zealand – previously Collingwood, Australia.
Manager with a large construction company.
I regularly walked past the Smith Street, Collingwood store for a few years.
I liked the style and range of colours, way before I knew about the flexibility, sustainability and price. Previously, I’d always paid more than $500 for glasses, so I felt I had to hang on to them for a long time due to the cost. Perhaps far longer than I liked them for. Plus I have long-distance glasses and readers, so it was double the damage.
The flexibility, sustainability and price.
As I was only in Collingwood for the weekend from New Zealand, I had to order the prescription glasses and pick them up later.
I have single-vision lenses, one pair for long-distance and one pair for reading. It was very easy to choose colours. I dropped into the MLC Centre, Sydney store a few weeks after getting my Dresdens for an adjustment and made the mistake of trying on another colour…
White front, black arms. Clear front, clear arms. Black and orange; orange and white; blue and blue; red and red. The pins are all different, too!
I must admit I am quite nervous about swapping the lenses, although it isn’t that hard. They’re just a very tight fit. I may need some training – or for the price, I might just buy more lenses.
I like the concept of replacement and recycling. Also, the frames made from recycled plastic and money!
Better than any glasses I have ever owned.
Everything. An added bonus is I get heaps of compliments about my go-to frames, the clears with red pins.
Yes, generally because people ask me about my Dresdens.
I’m looking forward to Dresden opening in Auckland. [Note from Dresden: we’ve landed in Auckland!]
